City National Bank today announced that it has hired seasoned banking veteran Bruce Ford as vice president and Nevada Business Banking manager in its Core Banking Division. Ford is a longtime Nevada banking professional who has worked in the industry for more than 26 years.

In his new capacity, Ford will be responsible for working with the branch managers and staff of the bank’s eight branches in Nevada to develop new business opportunities with small and medium size businesses. He will also network through various civic and trade organizations to generate new opportunities and to promote City National.

Ford reports to Jim Wullschleger, senior vice president and Business Banking manager of the Core Banking Division, but will work very closely with John Wilcox, senior vice president and Nevada regional banking manager. Ford will be housed at the bank’s Summerlin Regional Banking Center in Las Vegas, but will spend a considerable amount of time working with branch staff in northern Nevada.
